Business Interruption insurance explained

What does business interruption insurance do?

Business interruption insurance protects against an actual loss sustained or income lost as a result of a direct physical damage to insured’s property as a result of an insured peril.  Examples of insured perils would include, fire, vandalism and water damage. On the other hand, a business interruption loss resulting from a virus or bacteria, is generally not covered.
